Fantasy take (opportunity first)

TE is a volume cliff. Half-PPR still rewards route share and red-zone opportunity more than pure “TE premium” branding. Bowers and McBride sit in the high-usage tier; the drop from ~9.0 to ~6.0 projected is the usual TE1 vs streamer gap.

How to read this board

PatternExampleUse
Clear TE1 medianBowers, Warren, McBrideDraft / start priority if you paid up
Ceiling without elite medianLoveland, KraftLate GPP / breakout path if routes stick
Name brand, softer medianKelceStill relevant, but role must justify ADP
Large negative edgeMcBride (−4.2)Market often prices TE upside higher than our median — rank order still put him top 3

Young / ascending names high on the board are opportunity hypotheses. Confirm camp usage before you treat any TE as locked TE1. Weekly injury designations are not fully inside the model — About.

How we'd use this for Week 1

  1. Decide early whether you’re paying for a top-3 TE on TE rankings or streaming.
  2. Pair TE stacks with QBs only when the week board shows correlated opportunity.
  3. Use edge as a flag vs ADP chatter, not an auto-fade — consensus edge guide.
  4. Revisit after depth-chart and injury news mid-week.
