When industry ranks 'sell' names like Nico Collins — check volume first

What happened
Industry rankings season is in full swing. A widely shared Fantasy Life piece (via Google News) frames certain 2026 ADP / rank placements as sells, calling out names such as Nico Collins and Cam Skattebo among others.
We're not reprinting that full list. We're translating the idea of a "sell" into our process: does the volume story support the cost?
Fantasy take (volume × efficiency)
A "sell" label usually means one of three things:
- Price > opportunity — ADP assumes WR1/RB1 volume that the depth chart may not deliver.
- Efficiency baked in — last year's TD or YPR rate is being treated as skill, not variance.
- Role risk — new QB, committee, or scheme change that consensus is slow to reprice.
Our half-PPR board doesn't "sell" or "buy" — it projects q10 / q50 / q90 and consensus edge. Use that as a second opinion:
- Large negative edge on a star is not automatically a fade — check rank order and role.
- Large positive edge on a "sell" name is interesting if volume (targets/carries) still looks secure.
